Which submersible pump would you most likely buy ?

I've never had any problems with either of my mag drives so I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a quality pump that's dead silent.

I would probably buy a quiet one. Every Mag Drive I've owned has been a bit loud for my tastes.

I own mag drives and I own quiet ones of varying sizes. I use my quiet ones for the tanks and the mag drives sit on the shelf. I prefer the quiet one silent operation. A little pricier, but I think they're worth it. As I said in a recent thread, I am just as interested in the look and style of the tank as I am in the occupants. So, part of that goes to efficiency, power consumption, and noise reduction.

i have all 3. The maxijet is quiet in water pump mode but the the other two modes rattle.
The magdrive has a fairly noticeable hum to it with an open cabinet but has the best gph/watt ratio
and the quiet one is attached to a hose that has my uv sterilizer and just sits 90 % of the time. Id heard too much of failures of them to trust it as my everyday sump pump.

if i could do it all over again or if i ever decide to drop some cash i would probably switch out the magdrive for a ReeFlo

Good to know guys. I'm looking for two pumps for the 315 that will be in my home office and it looks like quiet one is the way to go.

CClump brings up a good point. On my 375g, I run a reeflo, and not a submersible. I like the quality, extremely low power consumption, and the SILENCE.... I've showed off my 375 2x this weekend, and both times, the people were impressed with the quiet operation.

all my mag-drives are dead silent, and have been running that way for years.
