Which Tanganyikan cichlids should I get for my 55g?

What are your suggestions for a tanganyikan stock list? I'm thinking some small compressiceps and other shellies, but maybe It'd need a few cave dwellers and some "surface" fish.

Cyprichromis for your open water and once your compressiceps gets larger they will take up the rock work

im doing a pretty standard 55g tang tank too.. im getting cyps leptosoma, julidochromis transcriptus, lamprologus multifasciatus

Yeah, I'm thinking I may end up getting cyps, as they are some of the more desireable open water fish, and some shell dwellers (though I believe multies would be too small)

Unfortunately the easiest to get cichlid is Julies, but I just don't like them...
