Hey guys, there is a sale and I need to know which of these two tanks would better suite the needs of a freshwater planted nano tank. I am unsure of plant species but I plan on having a single guppy or something similar inside with the plants being much of the attraction. The Sale ends Tomorrow!!

Deco Kit

PicoTope Tank

One costs more than the other so if you guys could put this into consideration along with the tanks lamps, filters (not much care here as water changes will be more effective I'm sure) dimmensions and looks.

Thanks

i have the picotope. its a cool little tank, and i chose it because it was glass vs acrylic of the deco kit. but if i were to do it again, id pick the deco kit because it has stronger lighting and filtration. but the tank looks a little 'plasticy' to me. id have to see it in person first. reminds me of those cheap little desktop aquariums. who knows...

Thats what I was thinking (the plastic thing) how is the lighting on the pico tank?

I'd go with the cheaper glass tank. My wifes small acrylic is a PITA to clean algae off of.

is glass easier to clean algae off of than acrylic?

Less chance of scratching when ya really got to scrub it.

Both have 50/50 lighting which doesn't do much if you want to grow plants... those lights are for marine tanks.
what should I switch them to?

oh yeah true true

I prefer acrylic tanks when it comes to bigger but I think the pico may be better in this case at least it looks it
