I currently have (2) 4" senegals in a 75g with a 8" JD, 4" angel fish, 6" pleco, and 5 emerald corydora. (The JD is not aggressive at all towards the other fish.)
-Sand substrate.

My question is should I put them in a 29g tank I have with the following fish: (The tank was inherited with the fish)
6 neons
5 black skirt tetra
2 siamese algae eaters

Gravel substrate

I would not mind if the bichirs ate the other fish in the 29g...

Which tank would provide the best atmosphere for growth?

The 75 because there is more water which helps to provide good water - > better growth ;)

75g- the 29 is too small to keep Sens in for life. I have mine in a minimum 90 gallon since ~3" he's now 11"

It wouldn't be permanent, I forgot to say it would be used as a grow out tank. I thought it might be easier to feed them...make sure they are getting their share...

Very good point, but sens will get to the food if hungry enough. I would be worried if you had a very shy species (ie some mokes), but if your JD is peaceful, I would leave in the 75. More swimming area too!
