Which tankmate am i better off with in the long run

Some im deciding on whether to buy a tigrinus or a gatf with my money right now. I want a tigrinus cuz of their colors and it could clean up the shrimp that goes to the bottom. But i want a gatf cuz of their teeth and i saw one eat at my lfs and it was awesome. So i was hoping if you guys could shine some light on which one is a better choice in the long run Oh yea and theres no way i could convince my parents on allowing me to buy both i wish but it wont happen

Get what you prefer... I would go with the gatf, but thet cichla might be a little harsh to it...then get a juruense after...haha

Thats wat im worried about ....the gatf getting punked by my pbass and it dying. Or the gatf bitting the pbass or taking out its eye

GATF grow way too slow...it will be food.
im not sure about tigs,but i think grow pretty fast.

get a tig...,make sure the bass cant eat him

I'd get the Catfish, I think you'll like it better in the long run and they do eat all excess food.
