Which shovelnose is this, P. fasciatum or P. tigrinum?

Definetly tsn... not a tig... but the question now is which sub species (won't know till it grows up abit

You cant really tell untill they grow, the markinsg do change alot but i could guess fasiatum as they are more available/common.
Do you have a species name, rather than just TSN? as I know its of the family Pseudoplatystom.
Pseudoplatystoma tigrinum is the same family which I gather is what you are calling a tig... it does look like the pics on PCF.
As for P. fasciatum I dont think it is this species, as their marking are more vertical than those on my specimen.
I'm guessing ita not a great species as I only paid £16 for it.

Yeah I got it from Pier, nice place, just had to remove a fish louce form the blackmoore that I bought the GF.
As for a big tank, I have plans for a nice big tropical pond in 12months, it should be ok in the current setup intil then.
Ive not seen it eat yet, but I'm sure it will in a day or two.

I also got a few tinfoil barbs.Looks like the 120gal is now gonna be used as a grow out tank for the pond
