Been juggling my stock in the 150g over the past two weeks, this is my "show"/main tank so want it to be full of color. My current stock is as follows...

1 x Gold Suam - Female
1 x Silver Suam - Female
1 x Heros sp. Gold - Female
1 x Vieja Regani - Unknown
1 x Nic - Female
1 x ZZ Eel - Unknown
1 x Peacock Eel - Unknown
1 x BN Pleco - Female
7 x Yoyo Loach - Mix
15 Albino Tiger Barb - Mix

All cichlids are between 2-4", I switched up from Giant Danios to the Albino Tiger Barbs and I love the change - Hoping since the cichlids will grow up with the barbs and will be nicely fed that they will not consider them on the menu.

I will be getting a 2.5" male Gold Suam this week - Getting this locally, this batch has been line bred so I'm hoping for some amazing coloration from this little guy once he gets bigger, that and he has two females :naughty:

Now, to finalize the stock I'm stuck between two different fish - will be getting 3 of them. Either a trio of Geo. Orange Head or Thorichthys aureum. I like both of these species because of their size, coloration and temperament. So, what are some opinions of one over the other, or does anyone know of another species that fit the bill?

To add some pictures of this line that I'm getting the Gold Suam from - cause they are just amazing fish...

The above fish is 5" in length and is the offspring of the above GT.

I'm leaning more towards the aureum's as they would probably stand up better with the rest of my stock.

If those are the parents of the GT's, mos def get a bunch of the fry.
A tank full of those beauties would be fine for me.
I would also go with a male so you could breed him too.
My GT was an awesome fish, he never killed any of his tank mates.
He was thick like that but his hump was not as impressive.
:headbang2

Yeah it's an amazing line, best one I have seen so I am just excited to get a male from it.

The female gold suam I currently have is from a different line, her scales are more dark green - her personality and temperament are amazing though. She's only about 4.5" though and is super slow grower, I'm guessing this is because she spawned at such an early age? Her first spawn was right around the 2.5" mark.

The female silver suam is too young to gauge yet and she's from another line from a breeder down in Iowa.

I thought about trying tiger barbs as dither... but I'm afraid my oscar will look at them as a group of snacks! I think I'd like to experiment with a group of bosemani rainbows... but finding them large enough that my oscar doesn't take a shot has been challenging.

Sorry... going off on a tangent there. Anyway... be nice to see a pic of that regani!
