If you had 7 fish of a species and the biggest male has picked out his female which also happens to be the biggest BUT she is the only one of them that had her gill plate damaged by another fish. Would you take a chance with the other 2 females and hope he bonds with them instead or just take what you can get? Fish in question is a yellow head freddie. Ill try and get a picture of the problem but she doesn't like to stand still. Basically the rim was bit on her gill plate to where some of the soft tissue inside curls out. Looks really weird. I'm stuck on the decision just looking for the opinion of people that have dealt with this fish.

is the damaged female the best looking as well as largest. cuz if not move on down the line. If it is the best looking of the group keep it.
