I am wanting to add a trigger to my SW tank. It is around 35g hex with a snowflake eel(1') and Green Spotted puffer(4 1/2") already living in it. Any suggestions for a small trigger that would be compatible? If not, any other small cool fish suggestions?

I don't think any Triggers remain small enough to fit in a 35g. Even singularly it would eventually out grow it.

As for what else?? I personally really like a Blue Hamilet! Beautiful little guys that stay fairly small. I think 6" is average full size!

I don't mean permanently in the 35g. I will have to uptank for the Snowflake, too. But one that stay relatively small for a trigger, maybe to stay in a 55g or 75g with the eel.

Only 1 I know that will stay in a not so large (75g) set up is a Picasso Trigger. To my understanding it only grows out to approx 10". Most other Triggers grow alot bigger. Clowns get to approx 18", and so do the Niger Trigger. Queens grow out to 20 + inches!

yeah i've looked at the undulated. They are supposed to be extremely aggressive to the point where it would kill my eel and puffer. I have been thinking Picasso but i was just seeing if anyone had any ideas on less ordinary ones. I saw a cool looking file fish at the lfs and it said it only would get 4" but i don't know how aggressive it is.

blue jaws are fairly small, an peaceful as far as triggers go, but to keep both in a 75 would still be a short term housing option

100 years ago i had an Undulated and they are NASTY! Mine was about 8" or so and he would smack the glass even if I walked by! Absolute beauties but just mean.

I forgot about the Blue Jaw Trig! Their pretty cool! So are the pink or red tails!
