I'm looking to buy filter pads for my wet/dry filters in bulk. I see two major offerings: Blue/White and White/Pink. Which one is better? Does anyone have experience comparing the two? I've been using Blue/White but to be honest, the mechanical filtration of my wet/dry could be better. Am I doing something wrong or should I go for the White/Pink pads?

Honestly, I would just pick up a big roll of filter floss and make your own. Change them regularly and be done with it. Floss is relatively cheap, and you can get enough to last you a life time in one big roll.

I was looking at rolls of cut-your-own blue/white or white/pink filter pad. Are you talking about the bags of loose filter floss they sell at petsmart or walmart? Where do you get your floss?

I suggest to just get a roll of quilt batting. That will save you a TON of money in the long run. The only downside is that you may have to change it every week because it captures too much loose particles from the water.

Sounds good, I'll get some of that quilt batting and see how it treats me. Thanks!
