WHiCH WOLFFiSH? MALA.or.ORANGE.HiGHFiN

Hey All~

Just wondering what species will go with my Datnoids, Bichirs, and Bass.

i have a choice between

MALA (COMMON)


or

ORANGE HiGHFiN (ROJAS)


Which species of Wolf fish will be better suited with these tank mates???

the bass and bigger dats are pretty aggressive.
so i need the Wolf to be able to defend himself against attackers.

i just want to know whats more hardy~
and better suited to be in a tank with dats and bichirs.

from my understanding MALA Wolf Fish tend to kill most tank mates?
but i could be wrong.

Please give me your opinions.
all extra information is also appreciated.

regular wolf would kill all your fish lol, but the red highfin one wouldn't kill them, and only problem would be maybe one of your other fish eating it...but if they are aggressive towards it the highfin will try and straighten it out a little, hope that isn't a problem.

Theres my pic Hey bro from my experiene having had both, I think if given enough space the mala wont be THAT aggressive towards tankmates. Mine would only fight when the other fish tried to pick on it then it showed them whos boss but other then that it wasnt really aggro. It will however eat fish that are small enough or even look small enough but as far as killing for the sport, not really unless theres not alot of room. As for the red high fin mine started beating up a flowerhorn after one day but if you have limited space i would go with the red cuz it only gets like half the size of a mala. Also my mala was not nearly as active as the red so if you want alot of activity then go with the red. Maybe i was just lucky to get a mellow mala i dont know.....hope this helps bro!!

id say any wolf fish will work. i had 2 and put them in community tanks and all they are is a glorified stonefish. they dont move

maybe a highfin. mine is very aggressive and trys to tear up my atf the second the food is gone.
