I am trying to decide between the 6 ft and 8ft DreamPond koi show tanks.

The 6ft diameter one holds 493 gallons at 29 inches deep of water.

The 8ft diameter one holds 899 gallons at 29 inches deep of water.

All other aspects of each pond are the same.

The fish I plan on housing in the pond would be: 8 or 9 fish that can end up in the 2.5-3.5 ft in length range, 5 fish that can end up in the 1-2 ft range. All fish are messy, and strong eaters.

I am not disclosing species of fish due to the fact that right now they all get along and are 1/4 to 3/4 their full size right now. So this is not a fish compatibility question, it is a tank compatibility question.

8 ft., bigger is always better. :D

if u got the space an the money go bigger, im looking for kinda the same think, but i dont need it so tall/deep. did u find anythink like this that isnt so tall

Get both and use the 6' as the filter:naughty:

8 footer for sure. If you have the space, which Im assuming you do, get the slightly larger 8. It has almost double the volume. The larger footprint will also allow for a few stumps or other decor to break up sight lines if the stock list has some nasties. Or, if your doing some cats, no decor and just a lot of room....
