I had to look it up so for all the U.K anglers its a:nilly: "

The Vexilar FL-18 does things other Flashers only dream about! Like what? How about spotting a walleye on the bottom while cruising at 40 mph! That's what the FL-18's unique Bottom Lock feature can do! It locks onto the bottom and provides accurate returns regardless of changes in depth or boat motion. That's not the only trick the FL-18 has up its sleeve. A state-of-the-art Auto Zoom mode lets you zoom in on the bottom six feet while while watching the entire water column at the same time in real time. Ideal for watching perch and walleye while ice fishing! No doubt, the FL-18 has raised the bar for quality when it comes to Color Flashers. The new standard: High resolution 525-bit display with high-speed, real-time LED readout; Three color display: Red = strong signal / Orange = Medium / Green = Weak; New light-emitting diodes combined with high-powered circuitry and a fast wheel speed make the display incredibly bright and the signals remarkably clear; Auto Zoom Mode gives a half screen zoom window of the bottom six feet of depth. No matter if you're in 10 ft. or 100 ft, you'll always see the bottom six feet of depth on half the screen. This delivers pinpoint resolution never before possible in deep water; Bottom Lock Mode works similar to Auto Zoom, but locks onto the bottom so it won't move with changes in depth or boat motion. Gives you the power to spot fish near the bottom even while you're on the move! Low Power Mode reduces output power by 50%, "

Man, that ice looks pretty..how thick?
So exactly how FAST are you going when you ice fish???

And I was always able to just look down the hole to see the fish ignoring my bait.

I know it'snot as much fun, but then you could afford a shelter :D .

I miss ice fishing sooo much!

I drill a bunch of holes then I go to each one with the vex and if theres no fish I move on until I find a hole with fish in it.

The ice was 5-6inch last week. This week im going to say it will be near 10

That ice looks pretty darn thin to me - I'm from Mass! Are you icebreaking with a boat?
