I'm really getting annoyed, I ordered my fish over three weeks ago. Still waiting and have been told another week or so before they come in, so I wait. My tank is now cycled and I used the fishless method so I'm adding ammonia daily to keep up. My question is, could I get a dozen feeders instead of adding the ammonia daily? then when(IF) my Oscars come in I can get rid of the feeders so the ammonia level is fairly steady?

Once bugs are established they will go dormant and wait for food if ammonia levels drop off. You therefore should not need to add any chemicals. Just introduce your fish slowly ie one at a time with a couple of days in between. The bacteria population will adjust to match your BOD (biological oxygen demand)
Oscars are very hardy my brothers lasted through 2 cycles and looks perfectly normal.
