whip tail cats

i seen some nice looking whiptail cats at my LFS. there 6''. they said this is there mak size. true?

Probably yes they don't tend to get much bigger.

Yep, If the are the common whiptail, or Rineloricaria eigenmanni then that should be about as big as the get.

Probably, but remember there are a few species refered to as whiptail cats...
check if the one in T times post is the one.

nope not it. i found it though--http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=746. they say 7'' max. that sucks, i wish it got at least 2'. that would be somthing to look at.

They don't get much bigger as you've heard. Thats the only reason I don't have a couple in my tanks....I don't want them to become expencive feeders. They are very intresting looking fish.
