He's moving into the 75 gallon tank!! I've been driving myself nuts about what kind of fish to get for my Pirate Room (aka, my office after it's decorated) First it was Puffers, then Cichlids, then puffers again. But I think I know now...And I thought what kind of fish would be bad ass enough for a Pirate Room? Piranhas!!!!

So Whip is getting the 75, and the goldfish are getting the 29, and my jellybean parrot is getting a 10 for now.

We're also going to get 3 more fish to hang out with Whip in his new home!!:D

We're going to get 3 more Piranhas, and when they get bigger/slower, we're going to put a bunch of tetras in there.

I can't wait to set up this tank!!

sounds cool! you'll have to post pics!

You know I will!! :D

I have to wait until I rip all of the tile off of the Pirate Room floor, and re-cover it, before he can move down here. I know we can paint around his tank though, Brian has long arms!! ;)

I'm a little nervous/excited about getting some new ones, should I seperate each of the 3 new ones for a while, to break up any "cliques"? Or just put that group in with Whip when I get them?

BTW, Whip looks like he's getting bigger!!:D

is whip in the 75 yet? if he is not yet in the 75 then you could just wait until you get all of the others and start them out in the 75 together. this way there is no established territory.

The 3 new ones won't all group to themselves?

I'm asking because I've had ducks do this whenever I got new ones, the new ones would just group together and ignore the previously owned ones.

Whip isn't going to be in the 75 until we get the Pirate Room ready. When we bring that tank down, and set it up, that's when Whip and the new ones will go into it.

Should I take Whip with me when I get my new fish, so I can make sure they're the right size?

i would leave him in the tank when you go. just use your best judgement on the size. it does not have to be exact...just close. i would think if they were all introduced into a new environment at they same time they would be ok. just keep them fed and create multiple hiding places for them. that way they can get away from each other when they need to.

ok, that'll work!! :D

I'm debating if I want to order from the petstore I bought him from, or go to the fish store (pay twice the amount) and get the ones I can see the size of. I don't want any of them to be bigger than Whiplash, but I don't want them to be too small either!! GAH!!:nilly:
