Im getting a 20g tank with a whisper 20i and i was just wondering how good this filter is or if i should get something better? Im only keeping a few tetras in it

aquaclear 30 would do you justice. if you get messy eaters 50 would be nice as well. nothing wrong with overfilteration.
o wait, tis early and i missed the "few tetras" part. yea a whisper should be fine.

my whispers are dependable but not that efficient, so i switched to an ac. but then again i keep messy fish
As long as your water looks good and the water parameters are good then the filter is fine. The only reason anyone needs to upgrade is when there is a problem.
Whisper is a good indroductory filter but for a little more money you can get a good filter like the AquaClear 20-a true 3 stage filtration unit that can also be modded to hold more bio-media. Nothing better than bene bacteria!
