Whisper in-take filter 40i

What kind of noises does it make?
I have 2 and one of them is super quite, I even sticked my head in the tank and it was quite.lol

Mine is making a small rattling sound that is realy pissing me off, since I got air bubbles in it but then I pulled it out of the tank and drained it..
What should I do now?

is it taking in the air bubbles? you shouldnt have an air stone under it. otherwise it could be that the impeller is a bit lose. theres a piece of plastic around the shaft on both sides of the impeller that needs to be tightly pinched together to hold it in one area. this is very common on filters.

no i don't use any air pumps.
it's just when i do my water changes, i pour in the water from above to get more oxygen in the tank, and all the bubbles seem to move towards the 40i.

what's an impeller? the "helicopter" thing in the pump?

yeah, if thats lose it will make a sort of sound. its very distinctive. just make sure everythings seated properly and work you way from there. its almost always the impeller though.
