What, if any water conditioners are you using in your tank i.e. particularly any "stress coats", Novaqua, Stresszime, Stress coat, prime, ect. How long has the tank been cycled? Has there been any construction of any sheet rock in the area of the tank. How do your parameters look & are your fish showing any signs of stress & have you recently added any new fish? The white "algae", is it hugging the surfaces/short haired or does it a long flowing type, moves w/ water flow? And you said "lately" (how long & have you changed water while this is occurring) on the glass, that's the only place you see it, not on anything else at all? :) :) :)

are you sure its not calcium deposits?

Mcox, great ? Which reminds me LiuHsi, are talkin FW or SW, cause if it's FW that would have to be the hardest water ever seen, to clean it 1 day & have it build up & literally return the very next day, but could be. Do you have to scrub it hard to remove it or does it remove easily w/ just a wipe? :) :) :)

FW.... Lately as in the past 2 month.

Not hard to get it off the glass, but they just keep on coming back.

its some type of water mold or fungus. it used to grow all over my snail breding tank, the snails, filter intake...etc. never hurt anything, just wipe it off. if u look really hard, it looks like tiny mushrooms.
