i currently have a great 7" male Fh and 4 female (as i suppose ) divided with brown colour substrate but i wish their colour to be more vivid, so should i purchase white or black gravel so that they colour up better.

the flowerhorn is zz red dragon with blue green pearls but the problem is that i want more of red colour on it but it is showing more of blue green pearls when kept with brown substrate,so which substrate colour should i use for red colour or will black substrate make the colours more vibrant.

but i think black will make their colour boom up like SRD,is it so & is the gravel found in african lakes brown in colour.plz suggest me what will better colour him up

i just told you what will help. Flowerhorn isn't an African Cichlid, and....most of the african lakes contain huge rocks and dirt as their primary substrate.

never black if you ask me.. It does not reflect light
