nice writeup, the red on their fins do look nice
i've never seen them sold as feeders here though. they're more like $1 each...still cheap i guess :P

edit: i bookmarked your site, lots of nice articles :O

Great writeup, man. I, too, love White Clouds and have kept a few ever since I've started the hobby. Zebra Danios are another favorite of mine. I have one Danio right now and he acts all excited whenever I go in to see him, sort of like a dog when its owner just gets home from work. Both are definitely great fish for a planted tank!

Thanks for bookmarking :)

Yeah I know they are on my wholesale lists as feeders here on the west coast. You could always ask your LFS if they can get them as feeders. They are so hardy that even though they're "feeders" you have maybe 2 die out of 500.

Average price should be 25 cents each from a LFS if it's a "feeder".

WCMM goes for $1.50 per 20~30 fishes.

I'd love to get some! They are some of my favorite fish. I am getting ready to set up a "these fish are too small to be kept with my predator fish" tank. Will they do ok with higher temps, like 80-82? I wonder if they'd be able to escape being eaten by the goldfish, I could keep a pretty big school of them in my 90 or 125 if that's the case!

This was one of my first fish I ever kept, back in my *clueless* days! I really like the long finned ones, and if I could find them, would want a big school ~25+ of those.

I LOVE THESE FISH

There are a few different stores in this area that I shop at and most of them do carry the white clouds but only one store sells them as feeder fish.

I kept a small school of these for a long time in my planted tank.. They really are a wonderful little fish. I often suggest them instead of neon tetras or cardinals for people looking to add a colorful school to a docile community tank. Much hardier then alot of other small fish on the market and you can't beat the price on these lil' gems.
