I just got some peacocks a couple of weeks ago. The one fish had a cloudy eye about a week after I got them. A friend told me to treat them with Melafix. The Melafix is not helping. The one eye has gone from cloudy to white and puffy, and now it looks like a cotton ball. I stumbled across nationalfishpharm.com and according to them a white cottony growth over the lens of the eye is Saprolegnia Fungus. It says to treat with copper sulfate. My cousin has a saltwater tank and has some Sea Cure Copper Treatment. It contains deionized water, copper sulfate and acid. Is this safe to use? Any guidance would be appreciated. Should I treat the whole tank? I don't really have another tank to put him in.
