white cottony growth

My male dovii has this white growth on the top of his body. Plus he looks dull in color now. Almost looks like he is going to shed. Still eats like a champ and very active. Is it some kind of fungus?

Looks like skin melt. I have seen this in amphilophus and parachromis with low PH, and high ammonia...What are your readings.

Sorry I took so long. Just checked my readings. Everything was good except my ph it was low.

The ammonia was readin zero. Just my ph was at 6.0. I just adjusted the ph.

I would not suggest changing the ph too much all at once. try 0.2 points per day.

I know just did a lil. Gradually over a couple of days. I dont have a hospital tank. Might have to buy one. All my spare tanks have fry. Do i have to treat that? I put in some aquarium salt to help out. what else should i do

Sticky threads done by beblondie and me. They're loaded with information needed. What is your KH? KH is far more important than pH. KH buffers the pH preventing fluctuations.
