White deer roam the forest

I take care of several white Fallows including a buck. They are not rare at all for the species.

They are as stated not albino but just a color variation of the regular Dama dama.. Fallow deer are kind of interesting as they are very primitive cervids.

I would have to say our buck "Steve" is a bit more impressive than the ones pictured above. (I may be a bit biased though :) ) Even in Velvet his antlers a bigger and better developed...
 
thats really strange b/c in a community park near me, there has been sightings of a "white headed" buck- seen it myself, and it looks like a half albino deer. since i first saw it(3-4 yrs ago), there has been other younger deer roaming the park that is fully white or blotched.

I was going to say just by looking at the photo those are Fallows and white ones are not uncommon.
 
theyre beautiful. there are actually white deer here in ohio. in a little town called Kingston (my parents live there) there are a few white and brown blotch and a few all white ones.

Yeah, there are albino white tail sightings around here from time to time. There was a picture in the paper a few years ago of a white buck that got his antlers stuck in someones volleyball net in their back yard
