Can i get some info on these please? I just bought 2 and cant find anything on google, maybe they are under a different name? Are these the ones that are a branch of the columbian sharks? Thanks :D

yes they are a colombian catfish, pics will solidify id. 99% sure though. max size about 12" in aquaria. start life in full freshwater and need to be acclimated to brackish/full salt. you want them to be acclimated to brackish by the time they are 6" or they will start to have skin diseases and suffer and die. if you need more info Liz moderator "Red Devil" has a beautiful pair that are about 12" and im sure she would be more than happy to help you out. hopefully you will do what these fish need to survive and not just dump them back at the fish store to be bought by someone else unsuspecting that doesnt have the resources at hand that you have (MFK). good luck to ya.

I have tried these fish multiple times even weaning them into full brackish at a younger age, and havn't been able to keep them to save my life. However, I do know others have been successful. I've heard high PH helps as well, but havn't tried it myself.

most salt water is in a high ph so brackish should probably be inbetween neutral and what full salt requires. look up brackish tank requirements on google and it should be able to pull up some interesting reading for you.
