So recently I bought an apple snail to clean my betta's tank and now there are white flake -like things coming out of him but not on the top of the water so they are not eggs. They are all over the bottom of the tank what is weird is why are they coming OUT of the side of his body??? Is he dying because I know dead snails smell like ABSOLUTE CRAP. I just don't want to hurt my betta so should I put the snail in a seperate tank? Or what is wrong with him? Also the betta likes to play football with his shell and has a really big mouth can she eat him like a dwarf puffer does? Sorry I'm very new at snails and this is freaking me out. The white flakes look like dead maggots.
Now he is in a betta cup ( only thing that was empty so don't blame me ) and he seems a little happier but I still don't know what that white stuff was and it is all over my bettas tank
