White Fungus on Gulper cat HELP!!!

My gulper seems to have some sort of fungus on his body, above the pelvic fin and just above his right eye. It looks like a patch of white dots with small hairs extending from them. in the patch above his fin, there is a bb sized bump that is discolored. Ive just now noticed it and have done a 50% water change, i dont have any medication whatsoever, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Idk what it was but that water change must have eliminated most of the fungal spores or something cuz all the white spots are gone and he seems fine now. Im just going to add salt for a week or two and hope it doesnt show up again
