I woke up to this thick cloudy slime. No Plecos in this tank to eat it...I’ve heard it’ll go away on its own but my question is will I disrupt anything by pulling it out and rinsing it off in tank water? Thanks

Did you just put the wood in? That usually happens as it is due to a bacterial bloom caused by the new wood. It goes away eventually but it doesn’t hurt to scrape it off. Once I did it did not come back nearly as much.
Yeah the wood was added a few days ago. So instead of NTS this is New Wood Syndrome ? I took it out and am reboiling it. It just looks waaaay more harmful than it actually is. When I first saw it I was like Whoa!!! What is going on in here ?
It’ll eventually go away with water changes. Won’t disrupt anything in the tank.
