White hair-like particles

Hi all..

I really need some urgent advice on this matter.

I have these weird white hair-like particles free floating in my tank. It has never been there before and it seems like a sudden outbreak. I tried scooping them out with a very fine net but it just kept coming.

I kept an aro in blackwater tank. pH has been a stable 6.5-7 throughout this ordeal.

Has any of you experienced the same thing? How do I remove them? It doesnt seem to harm my fish my damn it's very unsightly.

It's all the same length.. maybe abt 3-4mm long. White colour..

Just to add, none of these are floating on the surface. It's just free floating all over the water. And I guess it could be coming out from my overhead trickle filter.

I am using just a normal filter sponge.

Really hope somone could advice. . Getting very worried abt this..

Not sure what they are but I would do some large water changes to be safer for now. Are they attached to anything or just free floating?
 
I only feed my fish once a day.. never more..

I did some read up and found it might be Planaria..

Anyone experience this??
