Hi,
I just got this girl and she wasn't in the best home, scraping her head all the time. She grew fungus on it and I treated but now there are white bumps. Can someone help?
Thanks in advance!

There's more white dots on it.
Treating her with .3% salt and metrodinazole for the past 4-5 days. She still eats, no sign of lethargy.

Could be fungus on that exposed areas. I’d try some api fungus cure or dabbing some hydrogen peroxide over the area with a qtip. Avoid getting any hydrogen peroxide on or near the gills.

Your water is too hard / pH too high creating pitting which looks similar to Hole In Head Disease but don't treat for heximita. Stress on fish makes this issue much worse. Unfortunately these holes will never completely repair.

Look up this problem with Geophagus species if you want to improve your understanding and how to remedy.

I read that on one of these forum and someone said since they have been domesticated, it's not a problem. I guess it is a problem.
Will there be more pits later?
Also, are these white things fungus then?
