Over the past month or so my male motoro as matured and my female motoro is getting a little beat up . She as white like marks on her disk now i did a water test and my ammonia as spiked is this typical breeding beheiver with the damaged female and ammonia spikes

Don't know why you are getting ammonia spikes but rays tend to bite each other even when not breeding. I have two females that bite the other rays all the time.

its 200 gal with fx5 and eheim 2 wet and dry the rays are 12inch female and male about 10 nothing else in tank i change 50% water weekly god knows why it spiked

Water is fine now but getting very worried my female is getting bitten in the same place to if she is not ready to bred can the male kill her ? should i move her ? should i add salt?

if she stops eating i would seperate. u clean a filter lately?

Yes the eheim was off for about a hour but the fx5 should have been ok in that time . I put the bad reading down to a old test kit . The new one reads 0 still worried on the female the male seems to only bite her in the same place making the bite worse.

if it gets really out of hand you need to seperate.. as of now just let it ride out... a lil salt wont hurt... and just keep the water clean... good luck
