White nose tip on my Florida gar

I just bought a Florida gar from a guy for $5.00. He's 12" long. After I got him home, I noticed the tip of his nose turned white (probably in transport). Is this likely to clear up? Its been a couple days now.

hope so, i got a baby Dat that has that still... didint when i saw him first but now he does... Add some salt.. and raise ur temp a FEW degrees..pics would get more answers btw GL

yes it will clear up. i had to do some tank work a few weeks ago and put my 15" florida in a foam cooler. when i took him out his nose was white. give it a week or two. he'll be pretty again.

It's probably from the gar rubbing it somewhere. A few of my gars had it, but now they're fine.
