white patch on silver dollar

so i came home after school and noticed this white patch maybe around 8mm on the side of my silver dollar. it looks as though its growing on the body. it sticks out a little, as in it isnt completely flat on the body. it isnt ich. anyone know what it is? dangerous? thanks!

Sounds like a male starting breeding dress. They get leathery patches like that and will chase the females excitedly if you take the time out to watch.

I'm agreeing with druu, if it is fungus it will fall off eventually. Need to vacuum the gravel if this is the case.

hmm yea most probably its fungus.. dont think its the breeding thing. yea FUZZY is the word! so i dont need medicine whatsoever? is it contagious?
