White Perch

Has anyone here kept white perches before? I caught a few over the weekend and put 2 of the smallest in a 10 gal. Any info much appreciated.

No, just yellows and a pirate perch once, sorry

I find they do better with a touch of salt, as most that are found here by me in NY inhabit tidal sections. You can get about 3 in a 55 gallon before they get really big and start killing each other. Generally, you can wean them onto frozen foods, but you had better plan on a big tank if you want tankmates and no aggression problems. Cool fish, they look good together with yellow perch.

mbhw, thanx for the info. I can catch them out of a local lake that is strictly freshwater, as far as I know.
