my female JK FH which is nearly 5"+
has been pooping transparent kind of poop, at first i thought this might be due to its recent egg laying as this was observed after it laid eggs
and then this still continued and then i attributed this to the diet and changed her diet, but this continued yet

the shape of the poop is not like the one observed when the fish is suffering from hexamita, the fish still behaves normal , eats normal , and there is no change in the appearance of the fish

will try and get some pics of the poop,
i hope my fish isn't suffering, though it doesn't look like it is

ok the diet is ocean free koi pellets as staple diet, shrimps, beef heart, earthworms once in a while

the pair live in a 95G tank with a pleco
water change happens every 7 days 40-50%
filtration is at 900 ltrs/hr that comes to 190 + gallons /hr
the temp is 88 degree F

but isn't hex supposed to make the poop go like cotton balls

btw the male decided to kill her yesterday in the evening, she was alright in the morning, there wasn't any aggression, previously he had seriously wounded her and i had managed to save her, but not this time, when i got home and saw my tank she was floating at the top, all fins tattered and she had several scales missing and a few flesh wounds, foggy eyes, and no movement at all, just the gills moving slowly, i euthanized her,

how can it be hex, i don't feed live food, i keep a varied diet, always do water changes every 7 days, there weren't any stress marks on the fish, and its quite a huge tank, i am confused  and feel sad, she was less than an inch when i got her

well I am going through this exact same scenario with my tan king right now and I have been feeding him krill soaked in metro solution. If you truly believe it's hex, and you get the fish to ingest antibiotics before it stops eating (which they often do with hex), it will have a lot better chance of healing IME.

i hope your fish survives
i really like that tan king of yours
i hope you have better luck than mine

i always thought that hex when damages the intestines we see cotton type poop, i think i was wrong

you'll see cottony or stringy white poo, then shortly after that it will stop eating if it is hex. If your not sure or leery, hold off, use salt and see if it starts to poo normal. If it stays like that another 3-5 days then maybe think about treating. Epsom salt may not be bad idea as it acts as a laxative.
