Hi
So I bought this fish today. It is about 5.5 close to 6 inches. I was told it was a female. I m kinda thinking it is more a male.

What do you guys think?

Just for comparison's sake, here's my male at 4.5" - note the fin trailers have a bit more extension, so I do see what Frank Castle's referring to. I would have guessed male at first glance, but I'm not 100% sure after looking a bit closer.IMG_20160213_111313.jpg

Fin extensions can vary in length. Not all males will have spectacular long fin extensions. I have also owned females with fin extensions to match that of a standard male.
I was going by the colour of the fishes flanks, the body length and masculine head shape.

In the first picture the vent looks pointed and elongated which suggests male.
