White Saum - rivulatus or stalsbergi?

Picked up this guy yesterday on a random LFS venture. Currently in the 3-4 inch range. Couldn't be any happier. I am looking for some clarification though, which species does it fall into? I've read both answers on several different sources, so I'm hoping you guys can clear it up for me. Rivulatus or Stalsbergi? Thanks in advance

Pretty sure it's stalsbergi that has the white/silver "trim"...
 
Milingu Milingu I had read that on several sites, but never could find a picture that I seen a difference in scale pattern on, until now. Defiantly a clear difference. I'm just glad to finally have a good looking male, taxonomy was just out of curiosity. Thanks guys!

Yup, easiest way is to look at the scales. Rivulatus has what looks like black dots that all line up in a row, while stalsbergi are in a diamond type pattern.
 
I see it clear as day now. I've pondered it since I got into the hobby but could never find a good example showing the difference.
 
Hmmm it's not that clear from the photos but I think it is Andinoacara Blombergi, a rare GT. It has a silver edge so it's not a Rivulatus (gold edge), so would usually be a Stahlsbergi but the scales look like a Blombergi. If scales are light centred, dark edged it is Stahlsbergi. If it is dark centred, light edged, it is Blombergi. Blombergi are smaller and more mellow than Stahlsbergi, which I've heard really do live up to the terror name!

A. blombergi can be distinguished by A. stalsbergi by looking a colour patter,

  • Large males of A. blombergi have scales on side with light margin and dark spot at center, whereas A. stalsbergi has scales with light center and dark margin.
