white shell mutation of crayfish is hereditary or congenital?

I get a female of crayfish "Procrambarus clarkii", I would like to know if the larvae of her could be white, it's a recessive or dominat gene? the male crayfish could be wild type "red" or "white". Thanks a lot. I post a picture of my crayfish. :nilly:

It's a recessive gene. If you breed a white female with a white male, the majority of the offspring will be white. If you breed one white parent to another colored parent, you will end up with a mix of colors reflecting both parents and some that look like neither.
