A week ago I bought colorquartz black sand grade S and cleaned it out. I put it in a bucket and filled the bucket with my tank water to add the bacteria and everything into it. Yesterday I took out the gravel and put in the sand. I noticed today some white stuff all over my bichirs and loaches. It looks like ich but some white fungus as well. How do I cure this? Thanks. Salt and raising temperature?

There's like some sore on the lower part of the bichir's mouth. It looks like the cold sore humans have... HELP?
Salt should be sufficient. In absence of other data, I don't think that an higer temperature would be better...
The salt yes, but I'm not sure about the rise of temperature in this situation...The best thing you can do, obviously, is use a medicinal for fish (be careful: some are inefficient, other toxic!)
