I recently (one week ago) setup my 135 gallon tank and I am using a wet/dry setup for a filter and a HOB penguin filter with bio wheels from my 55 gallon tank.

I put in five new tiger barbs and a few days later I added the five tiger barbs from the 55 gallon tank. There was some pecking going on as they sorted out who was the boss. The next day I added my three clown loach. The Tiger barbs were pretty busy chasing the clown loach around but i did not think nothing of it. I then added the rest of the fish the following day.

We notice yesterday that one clown loach and a tiger barb have a white spot on the nose/mouth area. It does not appear to look like a crystal like ich would be...I am wondering if it could be from the net transfer, a fish fight, brushing up against the lava rock in one part of the tank or some other problem.

No other fish show any problems. I am wondering if I should wait to see if it gets worse or isolate them now in a hospital tank? I can have a ten gallon tank up and running asap.

I am going to try and get better pictures of the two tonight and add it to this thread.

water params appear to be normal and the temp is right at 77

The clown loach is being shy...I will try to continue to get better pictures.

I did not quarantine and with this morning nothing looks worse. This is day three with the spot on the clown loach and it does not look any different and might be a tiny bit smaller. I am going to continue to keep an eye on things but I am hoping it is just a bite or collision mark on the two fish.

it could be a type of fungus growing, try doing some water changes and raising the temperature a little bit and see if that helps, im not totally sure what it is myself
