White spot on Pleco?

My pleco, that I just recently got, has a white spot on him which appears to be a lack of scales? I was hoping it would go away in time, but it has been over a week and it hasn't changed- at least it hasn't gotten bigger. The pleco himself is doing fine, eating great, so I don't think that this effects him too much...

Do any of you know what it is? Advice?

so will it go away eventually? or will it be there for the rest of his life?

It might go away completely, in a lot of time like scars on a person, but it may be with him all the time. I'd do something with your heater (make a guard or something)

I got him from the petstore like that, so i was just making sure he would be ok.

Should be fine, just be on the lookout for secondary infections or signs of stress if it was recent.
