so is my only option to seperate them and treat them? cause i dont have another tank. anyone else have an idea as to what it could be and how i can treat them, without having to remove them frm the aquarium? worst case i guess i can talk to my good friend "tom" and hopefully take them there for a minute...

yep they are funges here is what u gotta do:

1-turn up the heat to 32

2-change 50% of the water

3-use the funges cure

4-add just a lilbit of sea salt

my male midas had the same exact thing. follow these steps and get the fungus cure from petsmart or lfs, i was lucky to have a 10g to treat him in so i only had to use one packet but he was already by himself in a 60g so if u have other fish in there u will want to treat everything. dont panic tho, they wont die especially this early in and if you treat it quick u wont lose any fin or scales. unfortunately it took me a few days to identify and my midas lost his long fins that were immaculate before. good luck!
