i found little white dots on driftwood didnt think much of it and now dots are on glass so it must be living what is it. and do ineed to remove these

We are going to need a WHOLE lot more information to know the answers. Can you describe the white dots, get a magnifying glass and get a good look at them.

Tell me about the drift wood, found it in a pond, bought it at the pet store, got it from a guy on Craig's list? How long was it out of water before it was added to your tank, was it dry? How long after adding it did you see the dots? Do the dots move at all? (You can test the ones on your glass by putting a dot from a dry erase marker behind them and checking to see if any have moved off of their dot.)

How long as the tank been set up? Any new fish added to it?

bought wood in pet store then boiled many times told it was grape vine. the spots are slightly ovaled and bright white. the only places they are is where plecos cant get to

And for the rest of the questions which you conveniently forgot to answer?

Have you added any new fish or plants?

Sounds like snail eggs to me.
