White spots on wood.

So this morning I went to turn on the lights for my Step-dads 55 gal and I see these on the driftwood. Anyone have any idea what these are?

Either fungus or some unfertilized eggs.

I knocked them off easily with a net so I guess they're eggs from his female green terror
