Just got this little weeksii a few days ago and noticed it had some white gunk in its sensory pots. I figured it was from being kept in crappy conditions.

Someone in another section mentioned possible hith.

Fish is still in qt and being treated with parasite gaurd as normal qt procedure.

What do you guys think the white stuff is ?
How long should it stay in qt ?downloadfile-1.jpg downloadfile-2.jpg downloadfile-3.jpg

There's a thread by beblondie which a similar thing was asked. Where it was explained that the lateral line pits are all mucus filled. Stress will increase slime cost production. I think the same with these pits. Probably not hith. Never heard of a poly with confirmed hith.

Stressed polys will make more slimecoat and mucus in stress. Yours is stessed.

Say soak food with some vitamins and keep ur water clean and will see.

Kind of the same old answers with me. Lol.
