white stuff in tank harmful??

[Phongstuh]

i noticed today that my tank was a tad bit cloudy i went over to see what it was.... i found that i see small white "hairs" that were attatched to the tank sides and what not waving back and fourth.... should i be worried? will this in anyway harm my young bichir? he has lost his external gills and eats and swims around doing what bichirs usually do... i dont want him to get harmed by this kinda fungus or algae for he is my first bichir and he means alot to me. what should i do to eradicate this issue? please and thank you

It kinda sounds like mold on some piece of uneaten food. If it was me. I would do a 75% wc and suck that stuff out.

im doing a 90% water change today and on it i rubbed my finger on it and feels slimy i think it might be hydra

It's hair algae which sticks on everything including glass, harmless, scrap off and do a wc.
