A friend of mine told me to post here and ask if any one knows what this is and will it negatively affect my aquarium?

More about my tank. 55 gal freshwater just re-silaconed. Have 5 cherry red shrimp in the tank put in after white stuff showed up. Water parameters 8.2ish kept at 80 farenheit and water changes weekly at 40%. Have two other tanks running fine with out this white stuff.

What silicone did you use and how long did you let it cure before you filled the tank with water?

In the Contains area it spoke of no chemical, or anything about antifungal or anything thing of the sort. The reason I choose it. It cured for 2 weeks. It says only needs 24 hours.

I didn't check the MSDS sheet for the product but I don't see a problem with the label pic.

If you test your water, besides pH, can you post the parameters?

I have heard some complaints of silicone turning white but can't remember the brand right now.
