I have been reading around and arowanas kept in white tanks show better shine (esp asian golds) .

Is there any long term damage to the fish if kept in a white tank permanently?

I have one new tank cycling now and might redo it to be all white to house an RTG

The fact is there are alot of complaints about fish who look nice in white tanks but when brought back home in black tanks and the color fades. esp cross backs.

Seriously maybe we should just use white tanks at home too lol.

The great thing about living in china is tanks are cheap, glass/plastics/wood is cheap, labor is cheap, electronics DIY are cheap, filters are cheap

i can just spend USD 6-7 for a 1.5mx1.3m white acrylic board cut to specifications and pay another couple more bucks or so for someone to drain the empty tank and silicon it up for me (but i rather do that bit myself as its more fun)

But good fish are expensive...
