White Tank on Aros

Since there is so much talk about WTT I want to share my experience. I found these two nice pieces of Jar over in China. They were price alot higher then the reg Jars that they had. There were no base color on the smaller piece and a little bit of yellow on the larger one towards the tail. I have not seen pieces like these before as I seen many Jars. I was about 50/50 on these guys but decided to buy anyhow. They first had to be hand carried into Malaysia and then Ship to the US. After about 4 months housing the fish in a black tank, they return to there normal base color. This is just a reference for those who think they have a Plat. It was a lerning experience.

I did the same thing with my Green asian aro and black aro and it look like a Platinum. All white expect for the pupil of the eyes. Many LFS are now doing this to fool newbies. I tried to educated other people about this but they get pissed of and keep arguing that they got a platinum aro. Well I won't blame them and just feel sorry for them as they found out later on. Can't do it with a rtg, xb, sr and silver as the red fin will always show and becomes yellow or pale pink.

Yeah, same with the Bichirs.
Even though true plat bichirs are not hard to find, the amount of people I have seen buy WTT Bichirs as Plats is crazy!

Usually cheap low grade farm Bandless Delhezi get this WTT scam BS!

Then you get semi plat etc.
IMO, Platinum Bichir is SNOW WHITE all over with ZERO colors or markings. (or maybe that's just how we see it in Japan?)

they indeed do look like plats. but tanks has something to do with it IMO.
