Morning,

This morning i found many white worms sticking to my poly in the quarantine tank, those that look like panaria white worms. But he seems alright and eating well. Will it be harmful to him? What can i do t clear the worms away from him?

BK

i think they're body flukes, easier to kill than anchor worms ime. Jungle Parasite Clear works very well. you'll usually see results after just 1 treatment, but i always do 2, a week apart...just follow the instruction on the box.

Add some salt to the tank too, probably 1 tsp per gallon to start.

Does these medication kill the bacteria in my bio system? Kinda scared for it. Isit infectious?

no no no its fine,............ not really "infectious" but if their in the tank your other bichirs might get/have them too. as long as their not coating your poly dont sweat it.

I'm going to get the jungle parasite stuff later. Its known as body flukes isit?

SWEAT IT! these guys killed my ropefish
get a parasite medication... ask at ur lfs for something against skin parasites

Every time I get in polys with those little worms, I use Hikari's PraziPro. PraziPro and some salt will get rid of them in one or two treatments.
